Project Mission
To create a custom and interactive display for the MAC’s Z Nation exhibit.
Business Statement
To engage our audiences in the appreciation of art, history, and culture of the Inland Northwest and beyond through collection stewardship, exhibitions, and programs that enrich and inspire.
The Process
We began the interactive display process by utilizing Raspberry Pi to create a preprogrammed computer board.
After programming each computer board with custom settings and wiring them to each display, we set up numerous kiosks throughout the Z Nation exhibit experience.
We aimed to marry user experience with a unique visual experience and paired this with recognizable visuals and audio from the Spokane, WA, locally filmed series. We expanded on functionality to produce kiosk browsing to its viewer that offers so much more.
This programmed display ultimately became our preliminary version of the Vexing Media original, DisplaPi, that we now offer as a fully designed interactive experience.
What's Next
We currently offer full DisplaPi services to businesses such as the Holiday Inn Express in Cheney, Washington. We customized the HIE touchscreen display designed to provide their lodgers with a local directory, an interactive menu for the HIE restaurant, and much more, all at the fingertips of their distinguished guests!
