Maria lends her expertise in professional writing by helping STN sort through the puzzling requests for proposals, set up a grant application template, or write and/or edit sections of their grant applications. She also helps with the grant prospecting as part of STN’s fundraising plan. At home Maria and her husband Ken like to try new recipes and eventually put their own spin on them. They are known around the neighborhood as the feral or community cat sanctuary hosts. Their five cats have come from this community and are happy to be indoor cats. Their oldest cat is 22 years old and the youngest is 5 months old. Additionally, Maria writes (of course), reads, plays computer games, and enjoys hand crafts such as crocheting, beading, and coloring with brush pens.
