Elz Tastes and Tea took over a local and well-known spice shop in the middle of 2020 and not only needed to rebrand, create an entirely new website with E-commerce and inventory, they also had a mission to reach their community through collaborating with local businesses to reach a new audience of foodies, wine lovers, and globally unique flavor connoisseurs.
Local purveyors of the finest oils and vinegars, spices, and teas sourced from premium growers around the world. A one-stop shop to affordably add delicious to your life every day.
After meeting the sister-duo shop owners of Elz Tastes and Tea, Kelly and Shelly (Kelz and Shelz), and taking the time to hear their needs as a family-owned small business, the Vexing Media web-dev and design teams promptly started the creative process to brand the business in a way that would reflect their present and future goals while also celebrating the devoted consumers of the previous spice store.
We then sent a detailed proposal for a fully custom website designed with a fresh logo and consistent colors and fonts for brand awareness and recognition. Functionality and user experience were top priorities for Kelly and Shelly, along with E-commerce built to reflect the store's inventory, upcoming deals, product highlights, in-house recipes, and news of locally collaborated events.
The website's goal was not merely a stand-alone feature; the aim was to marry functionality with a recognizable aesthetic that would reflect the in-store experience and provide virtual shopping for those local and afar.
Since the Elz Tastes and Tea store and website launch, there have been immense support and acknowledgment for the new branding and modern take on an already successful and locally supported spice store.
The launch came right before the holidays and spiked business not only within Spokane and surrounding communities, but the sisters have also been thankful to receive support from shoppers all over the country because of their new website.
Elz Tastes and Tea owners did not let a global pandemic stop them from determining this growing business a profitable and lasting company. They continue to work with local organizations such as Vanessa Behan, Providence Hospital, and others to host monthly events to give back to their community.
We continue to work with this local shop to update offerings within the website, refreshing inventory, and installing WordPress plug-ins as the business's needs change with each month.
