The upcoming 2022 Spokane Jewish Cultural Film Festival is celebrating its 18th annual event and we could not be more excited!

From February 17th to the 27th, viewers will be able to watch films virtually through the online platform, Eventive and In-Person (with precautions in place)  at a screening event hosted by the Garland Theater in Spokane, Washington on February 17th, at 7:00 PM

Two films will be offered for the In-Person screenings: “A Starry Sky Above The Roman Ghetto” and “Pops” and a post-film discussion featuring Dr. Torunn Haaland, Professor & Italian Studies Director; Chair of International Studies at Gonzaga University.

The film “A Starry Sky Above The Roman Ghetto” focuses on Christian and Jewish students in a coming of age moment where they will have to navigate cultural and historical truths through the “discovery of an old, mysterious photograph.”

“Since 2005, the Spokane Jewish Cultural Film Festival has brought international films to the Inland Northwest that share Jewish life and culture with the community. The festival’s parent organization, Spokane Area Jewish Family Services, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; all proceeds from the festival support SAJFS’s human services work in the community.”

The tickets for the virtual films and their included LIVE Zoom Q&A sessions can be pre-ordered here.
